General Availability Release 2.1.0 Date: May 15, 2025

The Pulse Portal provides our customers a high level view of their network and client devices or their network users on their network. Since Join is providing an end-to-end NaaS solution, Join’s customers will not need to know every single detail or have any need to operate the network. However, they have expressed a desire to have an overview of the network, and the Pulse Portal provides that.

Join is pleased to announce the release of Pulse version 2.1.0, introducing new features and improvements to enhance security, user management, and data visualization.

This release includes the following key updates:

Authentication and Access Controls

1. Authentication and Authorization - Implemented secure authentication and authorization mechanisms ensuring only valid, credentialed users can access the platform.
2. Content Access Management - Extended controls to restrict access to sensitive information based on user permissions, enhancing data protection across the platform.

User Experience and Hierarchical Views

3. Hierarchical View Options - Implemented user-selectable views, including:
   • Network View: Number of network devices, type, and status
   • Client Devices: Aggregate (total), by floor, by zone
   • Environment/IoT Sensors: By floor, zone, indoor, outdoor, or sensor type
4. Consistent Entity Naming - Established consistent campus, site, and property naming conventions for seamless search, selection, and display across the platform.

Data Analytics and Real-Time Monitoring

5. Summary View Enhancements - Added flexible, user-selectable time ranges for data insights, including previous 24 hours, 7 days, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months.
   
    
6. Client Device Metrics - Enhanced occupancy reporting with real-time and historical views, including:
   • Current connected device counts
   • Jittered strip or heat map visualizations for peak, minimum, and average occupancy
   • People sensor trip-wire counts (in/out) for main entrances, where available

   • Device identification support (e.g., MAC addresses, DHCP leases)

      

7. Site Details - Expanded site overview information, including:

• Name, location (address), identifier (tag)
• Optional identifying photograph, graphic, or icon (if available)
• Local date and time display

8. WAN Utilization Monitoring - Introduced WAN throughput monitoring with peak, minimum, and average utilization charts, including:

• Real-time data for licensed versus actual throughput

   

9. Advanced Sensor Data - Optional features for enhanced environmental monitoring:

• Real-time weather, outdoor temperature, indoor and outdoor air quality (if sensors are available)
• Real-time optical sensor feeds for critical areas (e.g., main entrances)
  
   

10. Environment Monitoring - Expanded environmental data tracking, including:

• Current weather, temperature, indoor/outdoor air quality
• Time-series charts for indoor temperature, humidity, and air quality by location or zone
