A network security incident is loosely defined as any event that threatens the integrity, confidentiality, or availability of Join's networks/data. These incidents often indicate that security measures have failed or been bypassed. In any occurrence, Join must be made aware and work to resolve the incident to the best of their abilities. 

Common Examples include:

• Malware infections (like viruses, worms, or ransomware)
• Unauthorized access to systems or data
• Denial-of-service (DoS) attacks that disrupt services
• Data breaches or information leaks
• Phishing attacks that trick users into giving up credentials
• Insider threats, where an employee misuses access
• Social Engineering or Compromised Information
